Genre: horror-suspense
Synopsis: The issue features an introductory framing sequence hosted by Destiny (“The Contest”) followed by primary short horror tales, most notably the lead story titled “Crimson Oasis”. In “Crimson Oasis,” a man survives a brutal plane crash in the African wilderness only to find himself stranded alongside a mysterious vampiress. Seeking to survive until they can finally reach civilization, the vampiress keeps the man alive purely to use him as her personal, accessible food source, a grim arrangement that fills him with deep resentment and a wish for death. The tension peaks when a fierce lion attacks the man, prompting the vampiress to drain the big cat’s blood to save him, which leads to a terrifying twist as the slain lion returns from the dead as an undead creature several days later.
